Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly capable Industrial Electrician to join a busy Randburg plant maintenance team in Gauteng. This on-site role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, control panels, and power distribution equipment in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in industrial electrical environments, strong fault diagnosis skills, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as electrician (wireman license or equivalent).
• Minimum 6 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical issues.
• Strong reading of electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical maintenance on industrial machinery and systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults promptly to minimize downtime.
• Install, wire, and commission new electrical equipment.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems.
• Read schematics and blueprints to ensure proper wiring.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Work with high and low voltage systems including MCCs and VFDs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts.
• Promote safety culture and adhere to lockout/tagout procedures.
• Coordinate with maintenance team for effective operations.
