Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join their plant maintenance team in George. You will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems and equipment within an industrial manufacturing environment to ensure continuous and safe production.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of industrial electrical codes, safety procedures, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.

Qualifications

• Qualified Industrial Electrician with a trade certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with high-voltage industrial electrical systems.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing complex electrical circuits and PLC interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical power-producing machinery and lighting.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, identify root causes, and repair promptly.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to address electrical issues.
