Placements24 is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Technician to join their manufacturing operations in Vereeniging. This on-site role focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems to ensure plant reliability and production continuity.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and motor controls, with a strong commitment to safety and efficient problem-solving in a busy industrial environment.

Qualifications

Relevant trade qualification or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Studies.
Proven experience as an Industrial Electrical Technician.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and motor controls.
Ability to read and understand complex electrical drawings.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Commitment to health and safety standards in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical machinery, control systems, and power distribution equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
Assist in the commissioning of new equipment and systems.
