Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Technology.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles and industrial systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with testing equipment and procedures.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; good communication.
• Must have valid work authorization for South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians and engineers in maintenance and repair of electrical machinery and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and diagnostic tests on electrical equipment including motors, generators, and switchgear.
• Support installation of new electrical components and systems according to project specifications.
• Help troubleshoot electrical faults and identify root causes to minimize disruptions.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections and repairs.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies during on-site work.
• Assist with inventory management of electrical spare parts and consumables.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
• Undertake remote administrative tasks such as report generation and data entry.
