Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Electrical Engineer for our Rustenburg facility. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize the electrical infrastructure of a large-scale operation to ensure continuous production and high efficiency.
The role requires a BEng or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years in industrial electrical engineering, strong PLC/motor control knowledge, VSDs, and the ability to read schematics.
Qualifications
- BEng or Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems, motor control, VSDs and industrial networks.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and manuals.
- Commitment to safety and OHS regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial electrical equipment (motors, generators, transformers, control panels).
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Design and modify electrical systems to improve efficiency and safety in Rustenburg.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers.
