Placements24 in Midrand, Gauteng, seeks an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure continuous, safe operation of electrical equipment and plant machinery. You will develop preventative maintenance schedules, troubleshoot faults, and drive continuous improvement to boost reliability and minimise downtime.

The role requires a national diploma or degree in electrical engineering, 4+ years in industrial maintenance, and strong knowledge of motors, drives, control panels, and PLCs.

Formación

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, motors, drives and power distribution.
• Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and schematics; PLC knowledge is essential.
• Familiar with health and safety legislation and LOTO procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults on plant machinery, control systems and power distribution networks.
• Manage electrical spare parts inventory and ensure critical components availability.
• Oversee electrical shutdown maintenance activities and ensure timely completion.
• Interpret electrical schematics and manuals to guide repairs and maintenance.
