Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Cleaning Supervisor to lead cleaning operations at large industrial sites in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role requires strong leadership, HSE expertise, and a hands-on approach to safety and efficiency.

The successful candidate will manage a team, develop schedules, ensure regulatory compliance, and liaise with site managers to minimize downtime while maintaining the highest cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in industrial cleaning, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, chemicals and equipment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations pertinent to industrial settings.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Residency in or willingness to commute to Vereeniging, Gauteng.
• A commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cleaning operations within industrial sites, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Lead, train, and supervise a team of industrial cleaning staff, assigning duties and monitoring performance.
• Develop and implement detailed cleaning schedules and procedures specific to industrial environments.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the proper use of PPE and hazardous materials.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, cleanliness issues, and areas for improvement.
• Manage the inventory of industrial cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
• Liaise with site managers and production teams to coordinate cleaning activities and minimize operational disruption.
• Investigate and resolve any cleaning-related incidents or complaints in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, staff attendance, training, and safety inspections.
• Promote a culture of safety and excellence within the cleaning team operating in Vereeniging .
