Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Automation Engineer to join the Centurion team. The role focuses on modernizing manufacturing facilities through advanced automation systems, robotics, PLCs, and control solutions to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.

The candidate should have a strong automation background, a relevant engineering degree, and at least five years of hands-on experience with PLCs and robotics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with automation focus.
• 5+ years in industrial automation; PLC programming experience (Siemens/Allen-Bradley) and robotics.
• Proficient with HMI/SCADA systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, robotics).
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics and control logic.
• Troubleshoot automated equipment to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new solutions.
• Implement predictive maintenance for automation assets.
• Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and best practices.
