Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives at a state-of-the-art facility in Sandton. The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems to improve production efficiency, quality, and safety using PLCs, SCADA, and robotics.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong PLC/HMI/SCADA expertise and project
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years in industrial automation engineering.
- Experience with PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and robotics.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated control systems for production lines.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA configurations.
- Integrate robotics and servo drives with existing processes.
- Develop system documentation and operating manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance staff.
