Placements24 is seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Needs Education Coordinator to lead a dedicated team in Mossel Bay. The role focuses on developing inclusive educational programs and strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.

You will oversee IEP development, coordinate with teachers and parents, provide training, and advocate for student needs while ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Needs Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years working with students with special needs and coordinating educational support programs.
• In-depth knowledge of learning disabilities, developmental disorders, and intervention strategies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and oversee individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Coordinate with teachers, parents, and external specialists to provide comprehensive support services.
• Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and areas requiring support, recommending interventions.
• Provide training and mentorship to teachers and support staff on inclusive education practices.
• Advocate for the needs of students within the school and ensure policy compliance.
