Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Home Care Assistant to support individuals with dementia and Alzheimer's in the Centurion area. The role blends in-home care with administrative tasks that can be managed remotely, offering flexible, remote-friendly options for documentation and planning.

You will provide personal care, cognitive stimulation, meal preparation, and coordination with families and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, dignified, and tailored care at home.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client care.
• Ability to observe and respond to changes in client condition.
• Patience, empathy, and genuine desire to help others.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Develop cognitive stimulation activities to maintain engagement.
• Administer medication reminders and monitor for changes.
• Prepare nutritious meals per dietary guidelines and client preferences.
