Exclusively Remote is seeking an Implementation Specialist to guide clients through onboarding, set up payroll, timekeeping, and HR systems, and ensure a smooth transition to ongoing support.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end implementation, collaborate across departments, and help clients feel confident using the solutions. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in payroll implementation, client onboarding, project management, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidence working with business owners and executives.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, professional client onboarding experience and build trust during the transition to the client.
• Serve as the client's main point of contact and proactively address challenges until implementation is complete.
• Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs and recommend solutions and additional services.
• Manage multiple implementations simultaneously and coordinate across departments to ensure all services in the proposal are delivered.
• Configure payroll, timekeeping, and HR systems and ensure accurate setup before go-live.
• Train clients on systems and ensure they feel confident using them independently.
• Communicate clearly with business owners, executives, and internal teams.
• Support initial payrolls and ensure a smooth handoff to ongoing support.

The Implementation Specialist is the client's main point of contact throughout their transition to our client, responsible for creating a smooth, welcoming, and positive onboarding experience.

This role combines project management, client relationship skills, and knowledge of payroll, timekeeping, and HR solutions. The ideal candidate takes ownership of the entire implementation, understands client needs, recommends solutions, and works with internal teams to ensure every service is successfully delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Experience: Create a warm, professional experience, build trust, and make the transition to client as easy and stress-free as possible.
• Client Ownership: Serve as the client's main point of contact, proactively address challenges, and follow through until the implementation is complete.
• Discovery & Advisory: Conduct meaningful discovery calls to understand the client's business, identify needs, and recommend appropriate solutions and additional services.
• Project Management: Manage multiple implementations simultaneously, coordinate across departments, track outstanding items, and ensure all services included in the proposal are delivered.
• System Setup & Accuracy: Collect and validate client information, configure payroll, timekeeping, and HR systems, and ensure accurate setup before go-live.
• Client Training: Train clients on clients systems and ensure they feel confident using them independently.
• Communication: Communicate clearly and professionally with business owners, executives, and internal teams, making complex processes easy to understand.
• Implementation Completion: Support initial payrolls, confirm client readiness, and ensure a smooth handoff to ongoing support.
