Job description

Help customers turn a new HR platform into a confident start for their people. As an Implementation Specialist for October People, you’ll guide mid-market and enterprise customers through onboarding, data migration, platform configuration, and launch—making sure workflows are set up correctly and teams are ready to use them. This is a full-time, on-site role for someone who enjoys combining practical problem-solving with thoughtful customer partnership.

You’ll work closely with October’s Implementation and Product teams and customers’ HR teams to understand their needs, configure the platform, and keep implementations moving smoothly. Your work will help customers adopt October People and build a strong foundation for better HR operations and organizational performance.

At a growth-stage company bringing together software, data, and advisory expertise, you’ll have room to learn from experienced colleagues and build your implementation and customer success skills. You’ll also gain exposure to AI-enabled HR tools and a broad platform serving organizations across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer onboarding and implementation projects for October People, coordinating milestones from initial setup through launch.

• Meet with customer HR teams to understand their processes, goals, and requirements, then translate them into practical platform configurations.

• Set up and validate workflows, platform settings, and customer data so each environment is ready for use.

• Coordinate data migration activities, identify issues, and work with customers and internal partners to resolve them.

• Guide staff onboarding and help customer teams understand how to use October People in their day-to-day work.

• Partner closely with October’s Implementation and Product teams to share customer needs, track open questions, and support a smooth delivery experience.

• Provide tailored guidance and ongoing customer support, helping customers build adoption and make progress toward their implementation goals.

• Track implementation progress and communicate risks, decisions, and next steps clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-haves

• Experience in customer onboarding, implementation, customer success, HR consulting, or a related client-facing role.

• Familiarity with AI tools and an ability to use them thoughtfully in practical workflows.

• Exposure to HRIS or HCM platforms, including how HR teams use systems and manage employee data.

• Strong organization and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple customer milestones and follow through on details.

• Clear, empathetic communication skills and confidence meeting with client stakeholders, including HR teams.

• Comfort working with data, supporting migration activities, and checking that configuration and records are accurate.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience configuring HR workflows or implementing an HR platform for customers.

• Experience advising clients on HR processes, adoption, or change management.
