Placements24 is seeking a Program Coordinator for Youth Development in Klerksdorp, North West. The role involves planning, implementing, and overseeing engaging youth development programs and events.

You will recruit and supervise mentors, manage logistics and budgets, and collaborate with partners to ensure inclusive, impactful activities for diverse youth. A 2–3 year background in the field is required, with strong facilitation and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Youth Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in program coordination, youth work, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with adolescents and young adults.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to build rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with program management tools.
• Understanding of youth development principles and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute youth development programs, workshops, and events.
• Recruit, train, and supervise mentors and volunteers involved in youth programs.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with youth participants, parents, and community stakeholders.
• Manage program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and participant registration.
• Monitor program activities to ensure objectives are met and safety guidelines followed.
• Collect and analyze program data, preparing reports on participant progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with communications to promote youth programs and events.
• Assist in budget management for assigned programs.
• Identify and address the needs of youth participants, providing referrals when necessary.
• Facilitate group sessions and activities for young people.
• Ensure activities are inclusive and culturally sensitive.
• Contribute to ongoing development and improvement of youth programs.
