Placements24 is seeking a Project Manager to lead urban development and infrastructure initiatives in Soweto, Gauteng. You will coordinate with local government, consultants, and community stakeholders to deliver public spaces, transportation networks, and utility upgrades.

We expect 6+ years in urban planning or related fields, strong stakeholder engagement, and proficiency with MS Project and GIS. A relevant degree is required; hybrid on-site and remote work options are available.

Formación

• 6+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on urban planning, infrastructure development, or community development projects.
• Proven experience managing projects involving public works, utilities, transportation, or community facilities.
• Strong understanding of urban planning principles, zoning laws, and environmental impact assessments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project) and GIS systems is a plus.
• A relevant degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of urban development and infrastructure projects.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, urban planners, and construction teams to ensure project success.
• Engage with community members and local authorities to gather input and ensure project alignment with community needs.
• Manage project finances, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Oversee the procurement process for consultants and contractors.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all projects adhere to relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards.
