Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Programme Development Officer in Gauteng to design, pilot, and scale impactful programs for disadvantaged communities, with a focus on Tembisa. Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in program design, development, and management within the non-profit sector.
• Proven track record in proposal writing and fundraising.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent project management with budget and timeline oversight.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working with communities in Gauteng or similar socio-economic contexts.
• Proficiency in data analysis software and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments and situational analyses within the target communities in Tembisa .
• Design innovative and evidence-based program strategies and frameworks.
• Develop detailed project proposals, including logical frameworks, budgets, and work plans.
• Secure funding through grant writing and building relationships with potential donors and partners.
• Oversee the implementation and management of new programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Establish robust monitoring and evaluation systems to track program progress and impact.
• Collaborate closely with program staff, beneficiaries, and stakeholders to ensure program relevance and effectiveness.
• Facilitate training and capacity-building workshops for staff and community members.
• Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in the non-profit sector and community development.
• Prepare high-quality reports for donors, management, and other relevant parties.
