Placements24 is seeking a Non-Profit Program Officer to oversee grant-making and program initiatives in Benoni, Gauteng. You will research potential projects, assess proposals, monitor funded initiatives, and evaluate impact.

Strong analytical skills and solid non-profit sector understanding are essential. You will collaborate with applicants, grantees, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective execution of programs benefiting Benoni and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Public Administration, Non-profit Management, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of program management or grant administration experience in non-profit/foundation sectors.
• Strong analytical and research skills; data assessment ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; report writing experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management software.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential organizations/projects for funding and partnerships.
• Review and evaluate grant proposals for alignment with priorities.
• Due diligence on prospective grantees, including financial reviews and site visits.
• Manage a portfolio of grants; ensure compliance with agreements and reporting.
• Monitor progress and impact; provide regular reports and feedback.
• Build relationships with grantees; provide support and guidance.
