Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Non-profit Program Manager to lead strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of community development programs in Mpumalanga. This role blends field and office work within a hybrid model to maximize impact and engagement with local stakeholders.

You will manage budgets, mentor staff, forge partnerships with government and community groups, monitor progress, and report to boards and funders, ensuring programs meet beneficiaries' needs and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and significant programme leadership experience in the nonprofit sector.
• Strong budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Experience in community development and working with diverse Mpumalanga communities.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex programs on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and implementation of all organizational programs.
• Manage program budgets, ensuring financial accountability and efficient resource allocation.
• Lead and mentor program staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Develop partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor program progress, collect data, and evaluate outcomes against set objectives.
• Prepare regular reports for the board of directors, funders, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure programs are delivered effectively and meet the needs of the target beneficiaries in Nelspruit.
• Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing efforts.
• Represent the organization at community events and relevant forums.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and organizational policies.
