Job summary

Rosebank College in South Africa seeks an experienced lecturer in information systems to deliver modules, engage students, and support assessment development with the Central Academic Team. Responsibilities include tracking results, guiding at-risk students, and maintaining LMS materials.

The role requires a Master’s in IS/CS/IT with a research component and demonstrated postgraduate supervision, research method expertise, and academic writing ability.

Qualifications

• Lecturing and tutoring experience in research methods and related disciplines.
• Experience supervising postgraduate research proposals and projects.
• Experience with qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method and/or design science methods.
• Ability to analyse academic results and support at-risk students.
• Knowledge of SA higher education regulatory framework.
• Academic writing and peer-reviewed publication experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and manage module materials in line with requirements.
• Engage students, prepare them for assessments, and develop assessments.
• Update LMS and provide timely feedback to learners.
• Collaborate with Central Academic Team on results analysis and reporting.
• Attend academic meetings across faculties and participate in PD activities.
