Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in water resources engineering.
• Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPANET).
• Knowledge of South African water legislation and environmental regulations.
• Experience with GIS is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for water resource projects.
• Design and assess water infrastructure such as pipelines, canals, reservoirs, and treatment facilities.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments related to water resources.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design drawings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and engage with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with local, provincial, and national regulations and standards.
• Assist in proposals and business development activities.
