Qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record in designing and executing complex multi-step syntheses.
• Proficiency in modern synthetic techniques and purification methods.
• Strong knowledge of analytical techniques for compound characterization.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute synthetic routes for small molecule APIs and intermediates.
• Optimize chemical processes for scalability, yield, purity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Characterize synthesized compounds using NMR, MS, HPLC, IR.
• Develop and troubleshoot synthetic procedures, identifying key process parameters.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing experimental results and recommendations.
• Collaborate with medicinal chemists, analytical chemists, and process engineers.
• Ensure adherence to GLP and safety protocols.
• Manage project timelines and communicate progress to team and stakeholders.
• Contribute to IP portfolio through invention disclosures.
