Placements24 in Upington, Northern Cape, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver strategic financial insights through modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. The role supports business planning across the organization in a hybrid in-office/remote setup.

The ideal candidate has a finance degree, 5+ years in financial analysis, ERP and Excel expertise, and excellent communication skills to influence management decisions. Agricultural sector experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
Expertise in Excel; experience with financial software and ERP systems is required.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial data clearly.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and key drivers.
Prepare regular financial reports, including variance analysis, profitability reports, and operational dashboards.
Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Provide financial support and analysis to various business units and management teams.
Evaluate investment opportunities and perform financial due diligence.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights to improve financial performance.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by senior management.
