Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Community Relations Manager to lead engagement with communities in Randburg, Gauteng. You will develop stakeholder relations, manage social investment programs and oversee social license to operate.

The role demands 8+ years in community relations or CSR, excellent communication and conflict resolution, and the ability to work across Legal, Operations and Communications teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or CSR, preferably in mining.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic community engagement plans and stakeholder frameworks.
• Serve as primary contact for local communities, leaders and government agencies.
• Oversee community development projects and social investment programs.
• Manage stakeholder feedback mechanisms with timely responses.
• Conduct social impact assessments and mitigation planning.
• Collaborate with Legal, Operations, and Communications teams.
• Monitor, measure and report on community relations impact and outcomes.
• Align engagement strategies with CSR policies and business objectives.
• Represent the company at community forums and events.
