Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Resort & Events Manager for a leading resort in the Rustenburg region. The role oversees resort operations, guest services, and high-profile events, from weddings to conferences, with a focus on guest satisfaction and revenue through bookings.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in resort management or event planning, strong budgeting and leadership skills, and the ability to balance on-site presence with remote administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality or event management.
• Minimum 6 years in resort management or event planning with supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising staff and ensuring service excellence.
• Strong budgeting, contract negotiation, and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all resort operations, including accommodation, leisure facilities, and guest services, to ensure high guest satisfaction.
• Plan, organize, and execute weddings, conferences, and corporate events.
• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring profitability and adherence to targets.
• Liaise with clients to understand event needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Supervise and train resort and event staff to foster service excellence.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to promote facilities and packages.
• Ensure health, safety, and licensing compliance for all operations and events.
• Manage vendor relationships including caterers and decorators.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify improvements.
• Oversee maintenance and presentation of resort facilities to maintain a welcoming environment.
