Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS), HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with quality control equipment and testing methodologies.
• Experience with audits and regulatory inspections.
• Residency or willingness to commute to George, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA programs and procedures.
• Conduct inspections and audits of production processes to ensure quality standards.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement CAPA.
• Oversee product testing and validation procedures.
• Ensure adherence to food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO 22000).
• Investigate customer complaints and implement solutions.
• Train production staff on QC procedures.
• Collaborate with R&D on new product development and quality aspects.
• Maintain detailed QA records and audit test results.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and quality management trends.
