Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant in Paarl to manage accounting for a diverse property portfolio. The role blends on-site project engagement with remote flexibility in a hybrid setup, supporting financial operations across development projects.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 3–5 years of accounting experience (preferably in property development), and strong IFRS knowledge with proficiency in SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CA(SA) / ACCA is advantageous.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in property development or construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions for property development projects, including cost tracking, budgeting and reporting.
• Prepare project-specific financial statements, cash flow projections and variance reports.
• Ensure accurate recording of all property-related financial transactions.
• Reconcile project accounts and developer loan accounts.
• Assist with annual budgets and forecasts for projects and overall company.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and tax regulatory adherence.
• Liaise with project managers and external stakeholders on financial matters.
• Support audits by providing detailed financial information and documentation.
• Implement and maintain internal controls tailored to property development.
• Contribute to process improvements in property finance workflows.
