Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer (Power Distribution) in East London, Eastern Cape. The role mixes on-site project support with office-based design work, collaborating with architects and engineers on diverse projects including commercial, industrial, and renewables.

The ideal candidate holds a BEng in Electrical Engineering, PrEng or eligible, and at least 5 years in power distribution design, with proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and ETAP/PSS/E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PrEng registration or eligibility with ECSA is required.
• Minimum 5 years in electrical design engineering for power distribution.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit for electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical power distribution systems for various projects.
• Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and panel layouts.
• Ensure compliance with national codes and client requirements.
• Perform load calculations and short-circuit studies.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and support construction phase.
