Placements24 is seeking a precise Payroll Specialist in Randburg to oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees. You will ensure timely salary payments, accurate deductions, and maintain payroll records in line with South African regulations.

The role requires 3+ years in payroll administration, proficiency with VIP Payroll or Sage and MS Excel, and a strong understanding of SA payroll legislation. A hybrid workplace and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate; payroll/HR qualification is a plus.
• Min 3 years' payroll administration experience.
• Proficient with VIP Payroll or Sage and MS Excel.
• Solid knowledge of South African payroll legislation and tax.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll accurately and on time.
• Calculate salaries, wages, overtime, and bonuses.
• Manage statutory deductions (PAYE, UIF, SDL).
• Ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and other relevant legislation.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and update employee data as needed.
• Liaise with HR and finance on payroll queries and discrepancies.
