Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join their Kimberley team. You will design and manage robust security infrastructure to protect critical assets and respond to incidents.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in network security, expertise with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and security policy development. A hybrid work model in Kimberley is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of network engineering experience with cybersecurity focus.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Experience with SIEM systems and security monitoring.
• Desirable certifications: CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure network architectures (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
• Monitor traffic for threats and respond to incidents.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
• Develop and implement network security policies and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams to embed security into design and operations.
• Stay current with emerging threats and technologies; recommend countermeasures.
