Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join their Kimberley team. You will design and manage robust security infrastructure to protect critical assets and respond to incidents.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in network security, expertise with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and security policy development. A hybrid work model in Kimberley is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of network engineering experience with cybersecurity focus.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Experience with SIEM systems and security monitoring.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong specialization in cybersecurity.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, or CISSP are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
