Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mine planning and operations, preferably in open-pit mining.
• Proficiency with mine planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, or MinePlan.
• Strong understanding of mining methods, equipment, and operational constraints.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret geological and survey data.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed short-term and long-term mine production plans using specialized software.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new mining projects and expansions.
• Optimize mine layouts, production sequencing, and equipment utilization for maximum efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in mine planning.
• Collaborate with operations, geology, and engineering departments to align plans with site capabilities.
• Monitor production performance against plans and implement corrective actions as needed.
