Placements24 seeks a Manufacturing Process Specialist to optimize production in Benoni, Gauteng. The role blends hands-on process improvement, new technology adoption, and collaboration with engineering and production teams in a hybrid setting.

You will lead projects to reduce waste, improve quality, and ensure safety compliance, drawing on Lean/Six Sigma and CAD tools. Ideal candidates have a mechanical/industrial background and at least five years in process engineering within manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency with CAD and process simulation tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization.
• Develop and implement new process technologies and methodologies to improve output, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct trials and testing of new equipment and materials.
• Provide technical expertise and support to production staff and engineering teams.
• Document process changes, SOPs, and training materials.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain product integrity.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean or Six Sigma projects.
