Placements24 in Port Elizabeth is seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to join our finance team in a hybrid role, blending in-office collaboration with remote work. You will provide accurate management accounts, variance analysis, and financial insights to support strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 3–5 years in management or financial accounting, and proficiency in SAP or Pastel and advanced Excel.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Part-qualified or fully qualified professional accountant (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, SAIPA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in management accounting or financial accounting.
• Strong understanding of management accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Pastel) and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial planning and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines within a hybrid work setup.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, profitability drivers, and areas for cost reduction.
• Assist in the preparation of financial models and business cases for new initiatives.
• Manage the fixed asset register and ensure accurate depreciation calculations.
• Oversee inventory costing and valuation processes.
• Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and controls.
• Support internal and external audit processes as required.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for senior management.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data used for management reporting.
