Placements24 is seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator for a role based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, offering hybrid work. You will coordinate domestic and international shipments, track progress, and liaise with carriers and customs brokers to optimize costs and delivery times.

You will prepare shipping documents, maintain TMS records, and support daily logistics operations while contributing to process improvements within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role.
• Understanding of shipping procedures, transportation modes, and customs regulations.
• Experience with TMS and logistics software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage domestic and international shipments, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Track shipments in real-time and provide updates to customers and internal teams.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and freight forwarders.
• Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading and customs declarations.
• Maintain records in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Support the logistics manager and collaborate with warehouse teams.
