Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our team in a hybrid role from the Midrand, Gauteng office. You will manage and optimize the flow of goods, coordinate shipments, and maintain accurate records to support efficient supply chain operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two years' experience in logistics, along with strong organizational and communication skills and proficiency with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or a similar coordination role.
• Proficiency with logistics software and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of transportation modes, inventory management, and shipping procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
• Liaise with transportation providers to negotiate rates and schedule pickups.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and oversee stock management processes.
• Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and declarations.
• Track shipments and provide status updates to stakeholders and customers.
• Resolve logistics issues and discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Maintain organized logistics records and documentation.
• Assist in developing and implementing logistics strategies to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff, production, and sales teams to ensure smooth operations.
