Placements24 is seeking a Lead Digital Twin Architect for a technology and design firm in Polokwane to drive development and implementation of advanced digital twin solutions for the built environment. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field with a focus on data systems.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software architecture, data architecture, or BIM management, with a strong focus on integrating complex systems.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing digital twin solutions or similar complex data integration projects.
• Deep understanding of IoT technologies, data analytics, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and visualization techniques.
• Proficiency with BIM software (Revit) and associated data standards (IFC).
• Strong architectural design skills and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into robust solutions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the overall architecture and strategy for developing and deploying digital twin solutions for buildings and infrastructure.
• Lead the integration of BIM models, IoT sensor data, and other real-time information into the digital twin platform.
• Develop and implement data management strategies for large-scale digital twin projects.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and BIM specialists to build and optimize the digital twin environment.
• Establish best practices and standards for digital twin creation, maintenance, and utilization.
• Oversee the performance monitoring and predictive analysis capabilities of the digital twins.
• Present architectural solutions and project progress to stakeholders and clients.
• Mentor and guide the technical team, fostering innovation and problem-solving.
