Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager in Durban to lead a critical infrastructure upgrade and rollout. You will oversee end-to-end delivery, coordinating with internal IT teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure minimal business disruption and timely project completion.

The role requires 6+ years in IT project management, strong network/server/cybersecurity expertise, and familiarity with Jira and Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IT project management experience with a focus on infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing network upgrades, server migrations, cloud integrations, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• PMP/PRINCE2/ITIL certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor IT infrastructure rollout projects including network upgrades and cyber security enhancements.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
• Identify and mitigate risks, develop contingency plans.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and status updates.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.
