Job summary

Snatch | Accounting & Finance Headhunters seeks a Financial Controller in hybrid-capable Cape Town to own the overseas finance function and drive international growth. You report to the CFO, oversee daily accounting, month-end close, and establish robust finance processes for stores and online channels.

The role requires hands-on experience with reconciliations, month-end reporting, and multi-currency operations, with UK/EU VAT and statutory coordination.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience of 1–2 years.
• Hands-on accounting including reconciliations, month-end, and financial reporting.
• UK or EU accounting practice experience is highly advantageous.
• Retail, e-commerce or FMCG with stock and inventory oversight is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Run daily accounting and month-end close, including bank and card reconciliations.
• Establish expense, card-spend and reporting processes with operations; reconcile inventory movements.
• Manage multi-currency transactions, supplier payments and international banking flows.
• Coordinate UK and EU VAT and statutory requirements with external accountants.
• Produce management reports and margin analysis for store and online sales.
• Support budgeting and finance setup for new stores and SA projects.
