Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, with a focus on indirect spend.
• Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Solid understanding of procurement best practices, market analysis, and cost-saving methodologies.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
• Familiarity with the Cape Town, Western Cape, ZA business environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and procure a wide range of indirect goods and services, including office supplies, IT equipment, professional services, and facilities management.
• Develop and maintain a database of approved suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards and service level agreements.
• Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and pricing.
• Manage supplier relationships, addressing any performance issues and fostering collaborative partnerships.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and other procurement documents.
• Analyze bid proposals and make recommendations for supplier selection based on best value.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical guidelines, and relevant legislation.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize spending and improve efficiency.
• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Support internal stakeholders by providing procurement expertise and resolving related queries.
