Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Family Support Facilitator to work in Sandton, Gauteng. The role blends in-person family engagement and workshops with remote case management, supporting families to build resilience and access services.

The ideal candidate has a degree or diploma in a relevant field, experience in family support, and strong communication and empathy skills. A driver’s license and flexibility for hybrid hours are preferred.

Formación

• Degree or diploma in Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies, or a related field.
• Experience in family support, counseling, or case management, preferably in Sandton, Gauteng.
• Strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and empathetic skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse families.
• Proficiency in using relevant software for documentation and communication.
• Flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, including some evening or weekend availability for family sessions.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for home visits or community-based work.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct assessments of family needs and strengths in collaboration with family members.
• Develop and implement tailored family support plans, setting achievable goals.
• Provide counseling and guidance to families on parenting skills, communication, and conflict resolution.
• Facilitate access to community resources, such as educational programs, healthcare services, and social support networks.
• Organize and lead family support groups and workshops.
• Monitor family progress and provide ongoing support and encouragement.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of family interactions and progress.
• Collaborate with schools, social workers, and other professionals involved with families.
• Advocate for the needs of families within various systems.
• Respond to crises and provide immediate support when necessary.
