Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Registered or eligible for registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., HPCSA, SACAP).
• Proven experience in family counselling and supporting diverse family structures.
• Excellent active listening, empathy, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of family needs and challenges, establishing rapport and trust.
• Provide individual, couple, and family counselling sessions to address concerns.
• Develop and implement tailored intervention plans for families.
• Facilitate communication and conflict resolution within families.
• Educate families on parenting techniques, child development, and stress management.
• Collaborate with other professionals as needed.
• Deliver workshops and psychoeducational groups on family topics.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client records and progress notes.
