Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Conference & Banqueting Manager to oversee event facilities in Mahikeng. You will manage corporate events, conferences, weddings, and banquets from initial contact through planning, execution, and post-event follow-up in a hybrid on-site with remote administrative setup.

Responsibilities include coordinating with F&B, catering, and AV teams, negotiating contracts, and supervising on-site staff to deliver memorable events with excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event management with a focus on conferences and banqueting.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills.
• Strong client relationship management and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of F&B operations, AV equipment, and event logistics.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, organization, and execution of all conference and banqueting events.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
• Develop event proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage event budgets effectively.
• Coordinate with catering, AV, and other service departments to ensure seamless event execution.
• Supervise on-site event staff, ensuring high standards of service delivery during events.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and follow up with clients to gather feedback for continuous improvement.
