Placements24 is seeking a Banqueting and Events Supervisor to manage banquets, conferences and catered events in Centurion. You will lead event staff, coordinate with clients, and ensure service standards from setup to breakdown.

The role blends on-site management with off-site planning in a hybrid model. Ideal candidates bring supervisory experience in banqueting or event management, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure while handling multiple

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within banqueting or event management.
• Strong knowledge of event setup, service etiquette, and food & beverage operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate event staff during banquets and functions to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Liaise with clients and the catering team to confirm event details, requirements, and timelines.
• Oversee setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring presentation and safety standards are met.
• Manage inventory of event supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Assist in training new banquet staff on service procedures and protocols.
• Handle issues or guest concerns that arise during events promptly and effectively.
