Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Design Technician to support the engineering team in Benoni. You will produce accurate electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation under supervision, translating concepts into buildable designs for projects.

Qualifications

• Must have a National Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Design Technician or Drafter.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical or similar.
• Understanding of electrical symbols, schematics and industry standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software.
• Assist engineers in selection and specification of electrical components and materials.
• Ensure drawings and documentation comply with industry standards and client specs.
• Maintain and update drawing libraries and databases.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on finalized designs.
