About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and talented Electrical Design Drafter to support their engineering team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality electrical schematics, layout drawings, and related documentation for a variety of projects. You will work closely with electrical engineers to translate design concepts into accurate technical drawings, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards. This hybrid position offers a great balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, providing an excellent platform to develop your drafting skills within a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, panel layouts, wiring schedules, and schematics using CAD software.
• Ensure all drawings are produced accurately and efficiently, meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to incorporate design changes and revisions into drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and ensure proper version control.
• Assist in the preparation of bill of materials (BOMs) based on design drawings.
• Support the engineering team with ad-hoc drafting tasks and documentation preparation.

Requirements

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical qualification with a focus on drafting.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Drafter or similar role, with a strong portfolio of electrical drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software.
• Good understanding of electrical symbols, standards, and terminology.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all drafting work.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setup, serving the Stellenbosch office.
