Placements24 is seeking an E-commerce Platform Developer to join our technology team in Upington, Northern Cape. This hybrid role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining a scalable e-commerce platform to enhance user experience and performance.

You will work on implementing new features, integrating payment gateways, and ensuring security and best practices across the stack. A strong background in front-end and back-end technologies is essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web development experience with a focus on e-commerce.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern frameworks.
• Experience with Magento, Shopify Plus, or WooCommerce.
• Strong API, REST, and database skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new features for the e-commerce platform.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive interfaces.
• Integrate third-party services (payment gateways, shipping providers).
• Optimize performance, speed, and scalability of the storefront.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and standards.
