Placements24 is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Manager to lead our Vereeniging facility. You will oversee order fulfillment, inventory control, staff supervision, and safety compliance while driving cost efficiencies and service improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center management.
• Proven experience in managing large teams and complex operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and transportation management.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily operations of the distribution center in Vereeniging, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Manage inventory levels, implement stock control procedures, and minimize discrepancies.
• Direct and supervise warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, performance management, and scheduling.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve throughput, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
• Manage logistics, transportation, and receiving operations effectively.
• Maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and operational work environment.
• Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify improvements and report to management.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer service to ensure seamless supply chain flow.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse processes.
