Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Warehouse Supervisor for our client in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, drive productivity, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role requires 3+ years in warehousing, strong leadership, and experience with WMS. A hybrid on-site/administrative schedule is offered to support operational targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule balancing on-site supervision with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily activities of warehouse staff to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor workflow and performance metrics; implement measures to improve productivity and meet targets.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Train and onboard new warehouse operatives with ongoing coaching.
• Manage inventory accuracy through receiving, put-away and picking processes.
• Oversee loading and dispatch of goods for timely deliveries.
• Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement timely solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
