AECOM is expanding its heritage team in South Africa with an experienced Built Heritage Consultant to join our environmental group. The role focuses on desk-based research, heritage statements, and assessments, with no fieldwork.

You will develop reports, manage budgets, and liaise with stakeholders while working in a hybrid model from a local office. We value strong writing, independence and collaboration with managers and clients.

Mansioni

• Undertaking desk-based research to inform heritage assessments and setting assessments
• Preparation of technical reports such as desk-based assessments, heritage statements, environmental impact assessments and characterisation studies
• Analysing and assessing the contribution that setting makes to the significance of a heritage asset
• Maintaining professionalism and excellence through strong writing skills and behaviours
• Management of budgets and workloads to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Independent working and taking responsibility for programmes of work and high quality reporting
• Liaising effectively with managers, stakeholders and other consultants and engaging with statutory/non-statutory consultees
