Placements24 is seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager to oversee the seamless execution of corporate and large-scale events in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role combines on-site coordination with strategic planning, vendor management, and strict budget control to deliver outstanding client experiences.

Competenze

• Proven experience as an Event Operations Manager or similar role in event production.
• Strong understanding of event logistics, technical production, and site management.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills.
• Experience in vendor negotiation and management.
• Ability to manage budgets effectively and control costs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
• Familiarity with event safety regulations and best practices.
• Based in or willing to travel extensively to Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.

• Plan, organize, and execute all operational aspects of assigned events.
• Manage event logistics, including venue setup, AV, staging, catering, and staffing.
• Source, negotiate with, and manage third-party vendors and suppliers.
• Develop detailed event production schedules and site plans.
• Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to plans.
• Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery.
• Implement and manage health, safety, and security protocols at events.
• Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure successful event delivery.
• Supervise event staff and volunteers during setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and reporting.
